Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). The role covers kitchen and service counters, driving exceptional food and customer service, and representing the brand to drive excellent standards.

You will supervise teams, monitor KPIs, ensure health and safety compliance, and contribute to a culture that values great food and customer care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate about great food and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service
• Communicating with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Liaising between customers and teams to exceed expectations
• Supporting and training teams, leading from the front
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams
