Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis (25 hours per week, 43.8 weeks per year). You will ensure kitchens and counters run smoothly and help deliver exceptional food experiences.

The role requires at least two years in catering, team leadership, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate. You will work to uphold brand standards and health and safety across all teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and service
• Communicating with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Representing Chartwells/Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Liaising between customers and teams to exceed expectations
• Training and supporting teams to excel in their roles
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams
