Personal Care Assistant - Support a Young Woman to Live Life Her Way

We are looking for a kind, reliable Personal Care Assistant to join a small, friendly support team for a physically disabled young woman living in a village setting.

This is a genuinely rewarding role for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and making a positive difference in someone’s day-to-day life.

Core hours are ideally 8am–3pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional shifts available on an ad hoc basis.

What the role involves: Your support will help our client live independently, comfortably, and with confidence.

Duties include:

  • Friendly companionship and social interaction
  • Preparing simple meals
  • Supporting medication routines
  • Assisting with light physiotherapy exercises
  • Light household tasks
  • Occasional personal care

You’ll also be sharing time with a household that loves dogs and enjoys relaxing with reality TV, so a good sense of humour and a relaxed attitude are a big plus!

About you

This role would suit someone who is:

  • Warm, patient, and able to relate well to young adults
  • Experienced in supporting people with physical disabilities
  • Comfortable around dogs (and ideally a dog lover!)
  • A confident driver with their own vehicle (essential due to village location)
  • Happy to undergo a specific DBS check
