Job summary

FirstPort, the UK's leading residential property service provider, seeks a Development Manager for a part-time, hybrid role based in Dartford, Kent. The position is 21 hours per week (Mon, Wed, Fri, 9:00–17:00) with a salary of £24,000 per annum plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experienced operational manager for large, complex estate with multi-facilities.
• Expert in health and safety with system/process implementation experience.
• Inspiring people leader who can work with teams to achieve results.
• Financially astute with ability to set budgets in line with lease agreements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective service levels and act as FirstPort representative to residents, clients and developers.
• Identify and address training needs, conduct reviews with direct reports, and ensure KPIs/SLAs are met.
• Monitor performance, manage holiday/sickness, and organise shift cover.
• Assist with service charges, prepare and present financial summaries bi-monthly.
• Lead meetings with customers/contractors, handle issues within agreed timeframes.
• Investigate complaints up to Stage 1 and coordinate Stage 2 responses.
• Carry out risk assessments and health & safety checks, ensure timely actions.
• Supervise contractors, raise works orders, oversee timely delivery of works.
• Respond to emergencies outside office hours as needed.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure high standards of fabric and maintenance.
