Job summary

FirstPort Limited in Hampshire is seeking a Visiting Development Manager (Ref 26694) for a 20-hour week, with a salary of £13,988 per annum plus a £4,500 car allowance and benefits. The role covers on-site presence, safety checks, and contractor management.

You will build community links, support Residents Associations, and coordinate with local authorities, contractors, and Retirement Homesearch to welcome new residents and ensure a secure, well-managed development.

Qualifications

• Customer service focus with ability to handle residents in person or by phone.
• Strong communication to resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.
• Understanding of health and safety in a residential setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.
• Organised and methodical with accurate records management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development, ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Carry out daily checks to keep the building safe and secure; manage records and data.
• Oversee works, raise orders, manage contractors, monitor progress, sign off completions.
• Encourage Residents Association and develop community through social events.
• Build links with residents’ families, local authorities, doctors and social workers as needed.
• In an emergency, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Assist with sales listed with Retirement Homesearch and welcome new residents.
• Collaborate with local peer Development Managers and attend monthly/annual meetings.
