Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Radcliffe invites applicants for a Funeral Arranger. Part-time 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, paying £13.47 per hour with benefits.

You will build relationships with clients, coordinate family visits, handle documentation and invoicing, and support funeral arrangements with dignity and professionalism.

No prior funeral experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, plus a competitive pension, staff discounts, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to interact with clients and teams.
• Numeracy and basic cash handling, discounts, and data entry.
• Attention to detail to follow regulatory policies and keep records accurate.
• Good IT skills to use computers, tablets and other devices and learn new apps.
• Empathy, discretion and care when supporting families and handling sensitive tasks.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role with proper training and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work (funeral plans) to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with the care and preparation of the deceased (e.g., viewing preparation) with training and safety measures.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
