Job summary

Co-op in Glasgow is seeking a Funeral Arranger to join its compassionate team. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am–2pm, with a pay of £13.47 per hour and the prospect of benefits.

You will build relationships with clients, arrange family visits, ensure the funeral home is clean and compliant, and handle client documentation using various digital systems. No prior funeral experience is required as full training is provided; the team supports personal and professional development

Qualifications

• Ability to build relationships with clients and the community.
• Comfort with cash handling and basic data entry.
• Ability to learn new software and systems.
• Williness to assist with manual handling of coffins.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and on the phone, arranging family visits.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming; report maintenance issues.
• Use devices to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to Funeral Plan Arrangers and assist with paperwork.
• Support with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased.
• Update client management applications with timely, accurate data.
