Co-op Funeralcare in Burscough, L40 5UU, is hiring a Funeral Arranger on a part-time basis (£13.47/hr). The role involves preparing, transporting and caring for the deceased with dignity, under full training. 18.75 hours weekly, with shifts Wed 1pm-5pm and Thu/Fri 9am-5pm.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with clients and colleagues, both written and verbal.
• Comfort handling numbers: cash, discounts, data entry and invoicing.
• Proficiency with common IT devices and basic software.
• High empathy, discretion and caring approach in difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and responding to questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues when needed.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Ensure regulated work like selling funeral plans is referred to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and preparation of the deceased.
