Job summary

Tandem Personnel is recruiting a Part-Time Fleet Coordinator based in Felixstowe, offering flexible hours: either three 5-hour days per week or 7.5 hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 8.45am and 5.15pm. You’ll work with the Logistics Manager to keep vehicles on the road and transport operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet administration, transport, logistics or a similar role.
• Strong organisational, administrative and Excel skills.
• Good attention to detail and an understanding of vehicle maintenance and compliance.
• Confident communicator with a practical, problem-solving approach.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, MOTs and fleet availability.
• Maintain accurate fleet, driver and compliance records, including tachograph data.
• Update schedules, spreadsheets and transport systems.
• Produce reports on fleet performance, mileage, utilisation and costs.
• Support agency driver bookings and manage staffing issues.
• Liaise with transport planners, garages, suppliers and external agencies.
• Help resolve breakdowns, incidents and day-to-day transport issues.
• Identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce downtime and control costs.
• Assist with vehicle licensing, permits and compliance documentation.
