Our client, a successful and growing SME, are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with strong Xero skills to join their friendly open-plan office in Welwyn Garden City.

You will need to be confident in your abilities, providing guidance to Directors and other staff, taking responsibility for all financial tasks, and supporting with the outsourced payroll.

Key responsibilities :
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software
  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Assist with VAT returns
  • Support budget tracking and audits
  • Process monthly spreadsheets for bought ledger
  • Chasing of old debt
  • Complete payroll spreadsheet to be shared with outsourced payroll company
What the employer is looking for :
  • Similar experience of bookkeeping for a growing SME
  • Must have at least 2 years’ proven experience in using Xero
  • Additional Sage software experience also preferred
  • Confident Excel knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commercial awareness
  • Driver preferred due to location
