Job description
Senior Park Attendant

This is a great opportunity to support Lambeth Landscapes in delivering high‑quality grounds maintenance and cleansing services across Ruskin Park and other parks, open spaces and contracted private sites. The Senior Park Attendant will supervise small front‑line teams, ensure work meets agreed specifications, safety standards, customer expectations and environmental objectives, and guide volunteer groups such as the Friends of Ruskin Park weekly litter pick and gardening groups.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise small front‑line teams when required, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Guide and coordinate volunteer groups (e.g. Friends of Ruskin Park litter pick and gardening activities).
  • Monitor performance, maintain equipment, and implement service improvements including the adoption of digital technologies.
  • Act as a public‑facing representative of the council: manage enquiries, resolve issues on site and support continuous improvement in service delivery.
What we’re looking for

The post holder should have a strong background in grounds maintenance, public‑facing customer service, and a commitment to environmental objectives. Experience in supervising teams, managing volunteer groups, and using digital tools to improve services is essential.
