Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to repair parcel lockers on client sites, with a company van provided for on-site work. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing maintenance and software updates, and delivering technical training.

You’ll travel within the UK and occasionally internationally, with regular field visits near Birmingham. Working hours are 8:30–5:30, 40 hours per week, with office visits to Hemel Hempstead as needed.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic tools (multimeter).
• Comfortable with travel across UK and occasionally internationally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on parcel locker machines on client sites.
• Maintain and upgrade hardware and software for reliability.
• Configure software/firmware and ensure security compliance.
• Documentation and reporting on repairs; train staff and subcontractors.
• Travel to service and training activities within the UK and internationally as needed.
• Prepare technical manuals and contribute to new locker types development.
