Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Network Health team. This hands-on role repairs parcel lockers on client sites, performs maintenance, and provides technical support to staff and subcontractors. Occasional travel within the UK and some international work are expected.

You will diagnose faults, perform software configuration and firmware updates, update manuals, and contribute to new solutions for future locker models. A company van is provided for business use.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Field service technical engineering role on electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic tools (multimeter).
• Willingness to travel in the UK and occasionally internationally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on parcel locker machines (APMs) on site with minimal downtime.
• Maintain and modernise parcel locker machines, upgrading hardware and software for reliability.
• Configure software/firmware and ensure security compliance; install updates.
• Report on repairs using internal channels and update documentation.
• Manage tools and components for parcel locker machines and ensure stock control.
• Provide technical training and support to employees and subcontractors, including international teams.
• Contribute to developing new solutions for future parcel locker types and write technical manuals.
• Support office visits/training as needed and document quality control against standards.
