Overview

Night Shift - 2200hrs - 0600hrs - Must be available to work Monday - Saturday or Sunday to Friday ( Sunday Pay Rate £36.64)

Responsibilities
  • As a Parcel Hub Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of your assigned shift.
  • Ensuring all shift activities comply with safety requirements and continuous improvement principles
  • Managing shift budgets and performance across people, customer, operational, and financial scorecard areas
  • Developing and executing shift workplans, ensuring optimum resourcing against forecasted workloads
  • Maximising automation throughput and managing efficient induction, outfeeds, and cross-dock operations
  • Collaborating with Shift Flow and Engineering Managers to minimise downtime and drive performance
  • Conducting regular team performance reviews and ensuring real-time performance visibility
  • Working with Trade Union representatives to build strong partnerships and create a positive work culture
  • Leading shift-based change projects using structured project and risk management methods
  • Acting as the Designated Person in Control (PIC), when required
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience managing large-scale operations, ideally in an automated environment
  • Strong planning and project management capabilities
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive performance improvements
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Confidence in leading change and deploying Continuous Improvement methods
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative leadership style
  • Experience in second-line management with strong team leadership capabilities
  • Solid IT skills and budget management experience
  • PIC training (or willingness to undertake it)
  • Ability to work with and interpret complex system data
Health & Safety Information
  • Manual handling training and full Health & Safety induction provided
  • PPE will be supplied as required
  • Workers must wear closed, sturdy footwear
