Paediatric Healthcare Support Worker

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an integral part of the nursing team, actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. The post holder will develop essential competencies through training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.

The postholder will take responsibility for, prioritise and manage own workload to support the clinical team and promote and maintain a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for patients and their families.

Skills/Abilities
  • Good verbal and written command of English language

Education
  • Must have, or be willing to work towards GCSE level Maths and English
Experience
  • Evidence of experience of communicating with babies, children and young people either in a work or voluntary environment.
