A caring individual in the community is seeking a Personal Care Assistant in the UK to provide essential support, enabling a physically disabled lady to live independently and manage her well-being. The role requires flexible hours across weekdays and weekends, offering a pay rate of £12.21 per hour. Ideal candidates will have experience in the care sector, demonstrate reliability, and be capable of providing personal care and meal preparation. Applicants must be friendly, trustworthy, and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
A Personal Care Assistant is required to provide personal and practical assistance, to enable a physically disabled lady to live independently and manage her mental health. The Personal Care Assistant will assist, the person, in all areas of practical needs and help her to carry out her day-to-day activities, to help the lady to lead individual lifestyle in her own home and in the community.
12 HOURS PER WEEK. Employer is happy for the hours to be flexible for the right PA. Employer wishes for the hours to be split Mon, Tues & Wed then Sat & Sun. Employer requires that showers and personal care are carried as and when needed depending on employers’ health & wellbeing on that day. However, employer requests that PA is not a student, due to needing consistency in her care.
Rate of pay £12.21p/h. The Personal Assistant should understand their role in supporting the needs of the disabled person, feel confident to ask what their needs are, always listen request and interpret them correctly.
The employer is a young female with disability which can cause her wellbeing to vary meaning that more intensive support will be needed when unwell. She requires assistance to live independently, leave the home safely and have a good quality of life. Looking for a PA who is friendly and capable with experience in the care sector and providing care on a 121 basis with a bedside manner. Ability to think on their feet, think independently and communicate clearly and openly with employer. Employer has full mental capacity and can communicate her needs clearly. Physical and mental health needs present. This is the employer's first experience of a having a PA so experience & knowledge would be of benefit to the employer.
Employer lives at home with family members. Employer’s room is on the 1st floor which is problematic as stairs are a challenge physically for the employer. Employers bedroom is out of way of other family members but bathroom is shared. There is also a downstairs toilet/shower room in the property. Family home is located near a park, near amenities & not far from the city centre.
Employer is diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). This condition’s effects vary & can result in seizures.
