Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Nightshift Manager to lead an overnight team, ensuring replenishment, warehouse organisation and preparation of shelves for morning customers. You will be responsible for the full shift, safety and wellbeing of colleagues, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and achieving KPIs.

A £4,500 premium on top of base salary accompanies this full-time role. Ideal candidates have prior line management experience in fast-paced environments, a strong track record

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment — motivated others, driven performance, operations running smoothly.
• Operational leadership – taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of more senior managers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction, colleague engagement).
• Managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable – worked night shifts in a high-volume, operational environment with safe, supportive atmosphere during out-of-hours trading.

Responsibilities

• Lead an overnight team to deliver replenishment, organize warehouse and prioritise deliveries.
• Oversee full store operation overnight, ensuring safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are brilliant by morning for customers.
• Manage performance, disciplinary matters, scheduling, and pay accuracy.
