Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an experienced Nightshift Manager to lead overnight replenishment, run key store operations and ensure readiness for customers at morning shift. You will coach a team, manage performance, and uphold safety and service standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role offers full-time night shifts (22:00–08:00) with a £4,500 premium on top of base pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. Experience in people leadership and KPI achievement is essential.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with motivated staff.
• Operational leadership when senior managers are absent or away.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding KPIs across sales, availability, or customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable: has worked night shifts in high-volume operations and kept teams safe.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight replenishment across the store and prioritise deliveries, organise warehouse and shelves.
• Often run a full store operation overnight, taking responsibility for the shift and team safety.
• Ensure standards are brilliant by morning to ready the store for customers.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.
