Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to perform installations across the UK, including overnight site visits. You will be responsible for getting our retail OS deployed and adopted, ensuring quality and KPI targets are met on each installation.

The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a minimum of 20 hours per week, requiring a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites. On-site work and overnight travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installations or related role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware/software issues.
• Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent time management under potentially tight schedules.
• Clear communication with supervisors, team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware, mount, connect and configure to standards.
• Respond quickly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain accurate installation records, parts used and time spent.
• Onboard/product scanning into the system.
• Operate tools safely to complete installations.
• Follow safety protocols on site during visits.
• Collaborate with team to finish installations on time.
• Maintain high attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet KPIs for speed and quality.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors and team.
