Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is looking to appoint a full-time, enthusiastic Booking Clerk to support our Outpatient Booking Team at Macclesfield District General Hospital, a busy NHS setting serving the local community. You will be computer literate, flexible and willing to learn new skills, with excellent verbal and written communication when dealing with staff and patients by phone, email and face-to-face.

Hours per week: 37.5 (part-time also considered).

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs grade C/4 or equivalent, including English.
• Working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).

Responsibilities

• Plan, book and schedule outpatient appointments to meet targets.
• Prioritise waiting lists and offer day/time options.
• Handle inquiries by phone, email and in person.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection compliance.
