Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our team at our B&Q Redhouse site in Doncaster. You’ll lead a busy warehouse operation, ensuring KPIs are met, safety standards are upheld, and your team is motivated to deliver outstanding service for one of the UK’s most trusted retail brands.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work rotating shifts of Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 and Sunday 10:00 – 18:00, Monday to Thursday, 14:00 – 22:00. However flexibility will be essential at peak times, this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Lead and motivate your team to achieve KPIs and operational targets
  • Deliver daily shift briefings and ensure clear communication across the operation
  • Manage staffing levels, absence and holiday planning to maintain service levels
  • Drive a proactive approach to Health & Safety, ensuring compliance and best practice
  • Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with transport and planning teams to optimise resources and vehicle utilisation
  • Ensure operational costs are controlled and budgets are met
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or management role within warehousing
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Ability to manage operations within budgetary constraints
  • PC literacy and experience with warehouse systems
  • Flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to operational excellence
