Operations Manager - Fire & Security Systems

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE; Electric Company Car; 28 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays)

Our client has been delivering fire and security systems for over 15 years, working with a wide range of commercial and public sector clients. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a driven Operations Manager to strengthen their leadership team. The business has built a reputation for quality service, compliance, and long-term client partnerships, and this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact in a senior position.

Role Overview

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the install department, with oversight of scheduling and elements of service delivery. Managing a team of 12-14 engineers, you will ensure compliance, drive performance, and maintain high standards across staff and subcontractors. This role will also involve direct client engagement, contract implementation, and financial responsibility to support wider business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of 12-14 engineers
  • Oversee installs, scheduling, and service delivery operations
  • Ensure compliance and quality across both in-house teams and subcontractors
  • Manage KPIs, performance tracking, and reporting
  • Take responsibility for Profit & Loss within your department
  • Conduct secondary surveys and attend client meetings
  • Support pricing, scheduling, and end-to-end job oversight
  • Play a key role in BAFE and SSAIB audits
  • Report directly to the Operations Director
  • Utilise Uptick software to manage operations effectively
