Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Hereford-based business seeking a proactive and detail-focused Operations Coordinator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity for a customer focused candidate with warehousing and logistics knowledge to play a key role in contributing to the business' wider operational improvements.

What you can expect:
  • Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Free hot and cold lunches provided daily
  • Discretionary company bonus scheme
What you will be doing:
  • Manage all UK-based logistics
  • Liaise with all our UK-based couriers, managing daily manifests, delivery queries, etc.
  • Work with the cross-functional teams to act as facilitator and communicator of customer complaints and escalations
  • Work with the compliance team to accurately record and detail customer complaints and escalations.
  • Manage, record and report on wholesale/dispatch related errors and non-conformances
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives on cost and service, maintaining strict SLAs with UK-based freight-forwarders and carriers
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, production and warehousing operations to ensure smooth coordination of shipments
  • Act as the key point of contact for customer complaints, escalations and queries.
What we are looking for:
  • Proven experience in logistics and warehousing
  • Proven experience in a customer facing role
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex documentation requirements
  • A collaborative team-player
  • Experience in a construction related industry is a bonus, but not essential
  • IT/Systems knowledge is a must
