Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Dumfries, UK, is recruiting an Operations Controller to lead daily security operations, supervise frontline teams, and optimise staff scheduling. The role offers a baseline salary of £33k per year with potential overtime and a 4 on/4 off night shift pattern.

The successful candidate will oversee time and attendance systems, respond to incidents, ensure health and safety compliance, and coordinate with internal teams to maintain accurate data and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK Driving licence
• Front line SIA licence desirable; training can be provided
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Flexible and reliable approach
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily operations and staff scheduling
• Supervise and support front line operational teams
• Monitor patrol equipment and performance
• Manage time and attendance systems
• Respond to incidents including key holding and alarm activations
• Participate and advise in staff development and strategic planning
• Monitor and oversee contingency planning of manpower
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
• Collect, disseminate, and distribute to operational managers information requiring immediate attention
• Address and resolve customer and client queries professionally
• Liaise with internal teams to maintain accurate systems and data
• Ensure staff hours are managed in line with the European working time directive
