Job summary

Surecall Recruitment in Worthing, West Sussex seeks a Temporary Night Operations Manager for a 6-month contract with immediate start. £50,000 per annum pro-rata, paid via PAYE, working a 4 on, 4 off (12-hour) night shift.

You will lead the overnight dispatch and engineering crew to handle urgent drainage requests and environmental hazards. The role requires decisive leadership, resilience for night work, and the ability to operate independently when daytime support is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Experience managing fast-paced environments like logistics/utilities/emergency services or drainage/wastewater.

Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership: oversee the nightly operations team and deploy field engineers to emergency callouts.
• SLA & Performance Management: ensure turnaround times for reactive drainage work and related tasks.
• Escalation Point: act as the senior overnight contact for operational hurdles and safety concerns.
• Data & Handover Management: monitor job systems for accurate data logging and morning shift handovers.
