Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline, or minimum HND in Chemistry.
  • Experience in laboratory analysis, ideally within waste, wastewater, or environmental testing.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste classification and consignment note systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out chemical and physical analysis of wastes, including residues and process control samples.
  • Inspecting and testing wastes to confirm suitability for acceptance.
  • Producing clear, accurate reports from laboratory results.
  • Completing waste consignment documentation and laboratory records.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment with quality control procedures.
  • Liaising with operational teams and stakeholders.
