Associate Director, Manchester Office

This role will report to the Manchester-based Director of the Operational Risk Management team within the Regulatory Affairs, Policies, and Procedures group. The Ratings' Operational Risk Management team is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing operational risks for Ratings.

We'll Count on You To
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform risk management strategies.
  • Leverage PowerBI, QlikView or other data visualization tools to create intuitive and impactful reports.
  • Design and implement automated reporting solutions to streamline operational risk reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in report generation and delivery.
  • Work closely with various teams, such as IT and Risk, across the organization to gather requirements, share insights, and work on controls.
What You Need to Have
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience within financial services or consulting environment, ideally including at minimum 2 years in operational risk management, data analysis, or process analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerBI or QlikView for data visualization and report creation
  • An interest in AI, including genAI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Fluent English skills with near-native proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • A technical mindset with a passion for leveraging new technologies combined and the ability to bridge the gap between IT and risk management functions.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and automating reporting tools and proficiency in mapping workflows using Visio or similar diagramming tools would be an asset.
  • A background in operational risk and/or disaster recovery.
