Job summary

Shaw Daniels Solutions is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to join the team at Worcester or Carmarthen. The role involves providing on-site technical support across multiple locations with 3–5 days on site per week and travel to other sites as needed.

Responsibilities include Windows 10/11 support, limited hardware support, server tasks, data archiving, and BAU duties. Full training provided; driving license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate IT knowledge with willingness to learn in non-standard environments.
• Previous IT support, field services, or service desk experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of core technologies: Windows OS, Windows Server, Networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support at Carmarthen or Worcester site 3–5 days per week.
• Travel to other sites to assist colleagues with projects and leave coverage.
• Deliver support across Windows 10/11, troubleshooting and event log analysis.
• Offer software and limited hardware support, including break/fix and fault finding.
• Manage Microsoft Server OS tasks (joiners, leavers, movers, DHCP, DNS, ADDS, VAMT).
• Data management including archiving data to tape via tape library systems.
• Carry out BAU tasks: antivirus monitoring, storage/capacity management, hardware checks, auditing.
• Update records and ticketing systems; follow SOPs; create documentation for processes.
