Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for onsite work in King's Lynn, Norfolk. You will provide hands-on support across a busy customer environment, resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests and ensuring a responsive user experience.

Responsibilities include incident handling, 2nd line resolution, project tasks, and coordinating with Level 3 teams. A full UK driving licence and SC clearance are required, with flexibility in hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows 10/11, Office applications and SCCM/AD basics.
• Experience providing 2nd line IT support and incident resolution.
• Familiar with ITSM concepts and ServiceNow usage.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN/VLAN, Wi-Fi, DNS/DHCP and VPN.
• Experience with Exchange/Outlook client configuration.
• Ability to handle peripherals like printers, displays and docking stations.
• SC clearance or eligibility and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle incidents and requests; aim for SLA compliance.
• Provide 2nd line support for issue resolution and escalation as needed.
• Maintain low incident rates and complete tasks on schedule.
• Assist with project tasks and coordination with project managers.
• Address non-standard requests within agreed timescales.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues.
• Troubleshoot laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers, etc.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
