Job summary

Computacenter in Lincoln is seeking a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to provide 2nd line technical support across a busy environment. You will resolve incidents, fulfill service requests and maintain high-quality user experience onsite.

You’ll work with Windows 10/11, SCCM/AD, and ITSM tools, coordinate with Level 3 teams, and ensure SLA targets are met. A driving license and SC clearance are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows 10/11 including configuration and registry basics.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN and remote connectivity.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools (ServiceNow).
• Strong customer-facing communication and incident ownership.
• Full UK driving licence; SC clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line desktop support to achieve SLA targets.
• Resolve incidents and requests, aiming for <2% monthly incidents.
• Install and configure software and hardware across devices.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams on major issues.
• Support project tasks for internal and external PMs.
