Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. is seeking an onsite IT Support Technician for the Clevedon area in the United Kingdom. The role covers Smart Hands, Field Services, and Desktop Support across network, server, and infrastructure devices, with guidance from remote teams.

You will handle incident resolution, health checks, and VIP on-site support as needed. The candidate should have basic L1 knowledge of networks and Windows, be proficient with remote tools, and familiar with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Experience in Smart Hands Support, Field Services, Desktop Support, or related IT support.
• Basic L1 knowledge of network technologies (switches, routers, wireless access points, connectivity troubleshooting).
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, remote support tools, and collaboration platforms.
• Experience with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
• Understanding of ITIL service management principles desirable.
• Proficiency in German (C1 level or higher).

Responsibilities

• Perform incident resolution and service request fulfillment activities in accordance with SLAs.
• Provide hands-and-eyes support for network, server, telecoms, and infrastructure devices under remote guidance.
• Assist remote teams with basic troubleshooting, health checks, connectivity validation, device status, and on-site inspection.
• Support IMACD activities for laptops/desktops within the Daas scope.
• Provide VIP on-site support for Desk-side issues when no other IT support is available.
• Ensure Desktop devices are installed with the correct desktop image and standard software.
• Maintain asset and inventory data in ITSM and asset management tools.
• Support printers, scanners, meeting room devices, collaboration equipment and peripherals.
• Coordinate with Service Desk to ensure timely incident resolution and service restoration.
• Act as local onsite contact for Smart Hands and coordinate with remote teams.
• Contribute to service quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
