Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a 2nd Line Support Technician in Birmingham for a well-established UK transport and logistics business. The role is fully onsite five days a week, offering a chance to help build a strengthened internal IT function after a recent acquisition.

You will resolve day-to-day incidents, support Windows and Microsoft 365, manage Active Directory and hardware, and participate in an on-call rota with payment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 2nd line IT support.
• Proficient in Windows desktop OS and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Active Directory administration.
• Strong hardware and networking basics.
• Excellent customer service in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second line IT support for end users.
• Install, configure, and support Windows devices and Microsoft 365.
• Maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and related hardware.
• Perform routine system health checks and backups.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist with IT projects as the team grows.
• Occasional site visits and on-call responsibilities.
