Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a Second Line IT Support specialist for a Birmingham-based role within a professional services firm. You will work across a modern Microsoft environment, supporting users and assisting with infrastructure, security and IT projects.

Responsibilities include 2nd line support for hardware, software and M365, plus AD/Entra ID/Exchange Online, server and cloud tasks. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange Online.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and VPNs.
• Experience supporting end-user devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Desirable: Intune, Hyper-V/VMware and Backup/Disaster Recovery technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line support for hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Troubleshoot desktop, networking, printer and remote access problems.
• Support Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online and Teams.
• Assist with server, cloud and network administration.
• Support software deployments, upgrades and IT projects.
• Apply security updates and assist with cyber security initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver excellent customer service.
