Job summary

Spectrum IT in Birmingham is expanding its IT function and seeks a 2nd Line Support Technician to join a growing team in a busy transport and logistics business.

You will provide first and second line support across Windows, Microsoft 365 and AD, maintain desktops and laptops, and visit other sites as required. The role includes an on-call rota with fixed payment and full on-site work.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows desktop operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 installation and configuration.
• Second-line support experience and Active Directory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Be the first/second point of contact for IT support across a broad range of technologies and users.
• Install, configure and support Windows devices, Microsoft 365 and business applications.
• Support Active Directory administration.
• Maintain desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
• Carry out daily system health checks and monitor backups.
• Escalate complex issues and drive to resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Support IT projects as the team grows.
• Visit other company sites when required.
• Take part in a one week in four on-call rota with fixed pay.
