Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician in Birmingham to join a growing IT team within a major UK transport and logistics business. You will provide frontline IT support, manage incidents, and help ensure end users stay productive.

The role focuses on Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and hardware support, with on-site duties and a one-in-four on-call rota, backed by a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience providing first/second line IT support
• Able to install/configure Windows devices and Microsoft 365
• Familiar with Active Directory and basic hardware & networking concepts

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for IT support across multiple locations
• Resolve end-user IT incidents and service requests
• Install and support Windows devices, MS 365, and business apps
• Maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and hardware
• Perform daily system health checks and backups monitoring
• Escalate complex issues and manage resolutions
• Maintain technical docs and support IT projects as the team grows
• Occasionally visit other company sites and participate in on-call rota
