Job summary

A leading dementia support organization in Manchester is looking for a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. In this role, you will engage with people affected by dementia, supporting them during uplifting singing sessions, either online or in person. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a desire to make a real difference in participants' lives. Opportunities for face-to-face volunteering are also available. Previous experience with dementia is not required, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Interest in developing meaningful relationships with people affected by dementia.
• Ability to listen and display compassion.
• Confidence in using Zoom for virtual sessions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with participants in singing sessions.
• Support session facilitator with materials and refreshments.
• Encourage participation during singing activities.
