Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an experienced Online Manager in Penrith to lead our online picking and delivery team, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for both online and in-store customers. You will be visible on the floor, coaching shoppers and drivers and collaborating with other store managers to drive performance.

You’ll manage early-morning schedules (often 04:00–08:00), deliver excellent customer service, hit KPIs, and handle people management including performance and absence.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership, taking responsibility for store operations in absence of senior managers.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction).
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and orchestrate delivery of online picking and delivery team for in-store online service.
• Lead and coach a large team of shoppers and drivers for seamless, safe shopping.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure the overall store shopping experience succeeds.
• Manage performance, discipline, scheduling, and pay accuracy.
• Oversee early-morning online operations (04:00–08:00).
