Job summary

Sainsbury's in Milton Keynes is recruiting an Online Manager to lead the in-store online picking and delivery team, ensuring a seamless service for online and in-store customers and driving performance across the store.

You’ll coach a large team of shoppers and drivers, manage performance and scheduling, and collaborate with other store managers to enhance the overall shopping experience. The role requires early morning hours (04:00–08:00) to support deliveries.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership in the absence of more senior managers.
• Proven success in meeting KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction).
• Experience managing employee relations issues including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and orchestrate the delivery of an online picking and delivery team to ensure the success of the in-store online service.
• Be a visible leader, coaching a large team of shoppers and drivers to deliver a seamless and safe shopping experience for all customers.
• Collaborate with other managers to ensure the success of the overall store shopping experience.
• People management is a big part of the role, managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate.
