Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a proactive Online Assistant to support online order fulfilment and customer service across our Maidenhead store. You’ll pick items, handle substitutions when needed, and help load deliveries for Home Delivery Drivers.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, starting early shifts, and build strong product knowledge to assist customers and promote great shopping experiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and friendly attitude.
• Comfortable fast-paced and physical work environment.
• Able to use initiative and take ownership of tasks.
• Willingness to learn new digital tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare online order items on the shop floor for delivery or substitutions when out of stock.
• Use a handheld device to plan routes, selections, and time per shop.
• Handle customer queries, process orders, and assist with loading vans for Home Delivery Drivers.
• Provide helpful service and answer questions, proactively offering assistance.
• Develop product knowledge to provide recommendations and promotions.
• Work flexibly across the store as required.
