Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a proactive Online Assistant to support our online order picking and delivery preparation. You’ll select high-quality items, handle substitutions when needed, and use a store handset to plan routes and time efficiently.

You’ll also assist with customer queries, process orders, and help load vans for Home Delivery. A strong team spirit and product knowledge will help you excel in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced customer-facing roles.
• Ability to learn new digital tools and technology.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare online order items on the shop floor for delivery or substitutions when out of stock.
• Plan routes and time using store handset to meet delivery targets.
• Handle customer queries, process orders and assist with loading vans for Home Delivery.
• Provide helpful, proactive service and answer questions to enhance the shopping experience.
• Build product knowledge to offer accurate recommendations.
• Flexibly cover store tasks as needed.
