Job summary

Sainsbury's is hiring an Online Assistant to support online orders in-store. You will pick items for home delivery, handle substitutions when stock is low, and use a handheld device to plan efficient routes. You’ll also assist with customer queries, process orders and help load vans for delivery drivers.

You’ll build extensive product knowledge to make informed recommendations, and work flexibly across the store to meet peak demand and ensure a top shopping experience for our online customers.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and use digital tools.
• Physical role with light lifting up to 15kg.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare online orders on the shop floor for home delivery or substitutions when needed.
• Use a handheld device to plan routes and manage order pick times.
• Assist with customer queries, process orders, and help load vans for home delivery drivers.
• Provide excellent customer service and proactively offer help.
• Develop product knowledge to make personalised recommendations.
• Work flexibly across the store as required.
