Job summary

RedTech is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a rapidly growing AI software company. You will own end-user issues, diagnose hardware, software, and network problems, and provide high-quality on-site support in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers macOS, Microsoft 365, device management, and security topics, with opportunities to work on automation and systems administration projects as the team scales.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ commercial IT support experience.
• In-person IT support experience on the floor.
• Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related field (2.1/1st).
• Strong macOS support experience in a commercial setting.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (users, groups, permissions).
• Experience with device management/MDM tools (Jamf preferred).
• Experience with identity and access management (Azure AD).
• Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPNs.
• Strong troubleshooting for hardware, software, OS, connectivity.
• Proven ability to manage tickets through to resolution.
• Excellent communication across all business levels.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Nice-to-have: Linux scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, owning issues from diagnosis to resolution.
• Set up and maintain laptops and end-user devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
• Handle IT onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, app, and connectivity issues.
• Support meeting rooms, video conferencing, AV equipment.
• Manage IT hardware and inventory.
• Assist with endpoint management, software deployment, patching and security.
• Maintain internal IT documentation and processes.
• Support wider systems administration and infrastructure tasks.
• Identify opportunities to automate routine IT tasks.
• Collaborate with the technical team on IT, infrastructure and security projects.
