Job summary

Bromford is recruiting an Independent Living Scheme Officer in Gloucester to provide housing-related support to vulnerable and older residents. You’ll build trusting relationships, help residents feel safe and independent, and be a visible on-site presence.

The role covers health and safety checks, arranging repairs, annual reviews and promoting wellbeing. You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with hybrid working across schemes and home; interviews are scheduled

Qualifications

Experience in housing or care for older residents.
Ability to communicate clearly, even in difficult situations.
Ability to manage workload and stay self-motivated.
Knowledge of policies, procedures and standards.
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle; willingness to travel between schemes.
Enhanced DBS check provided by employer.

Responsibilities

Provide housing-related support to vulnerable and older residents across our independent living schemes.
Build rapport to help residents feel safe, supported and independent in their homes.
Carry out health and safety checks, manage communal repairs, and complete annual reviews.
Act as a visible, consistent on-site presence and offer reassurance and connection.
Promote wellbeing and independence by being a vital, friendly point of contact.
