Job summary

Bromford is seeking an Independent Living Scheme Officer to support our housing schemes in the Gloucester area. You will provide housing-related support to vulnerable and older residents, build trusting relationships to help them feel safe and independent, and conduct health and safety checks and annual reviews.

You will travel between schemes, with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. DBS check provided.

Qualifications

Empathetic, patient, and genuinely interested in the lives and needs of older people.
A confident communicator who’s not afraid of difficult conversations.
Self-motivated and flexible.
Able to manage your own workload effectively.
Strong at influencing and building relationships, even in challenging situations.
Experience working in a customer-focused role, ideally with older people.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

Providing housing-related support to vulnerable and older residents across our independent living schemes.
Building strong, trusting relationships with customers to help them feel safe, supported, and independent in their homes.
Carrying out health and safety checks, managing communal repairs, and completing annual reviews.
Acting as a visible, consistent presence on-site.
Promoting reassurance and connection to residents.
