Job summary

Bromford is seeking an Independent Living Scheme Officer to manage housing schemes in Patchway, Filton and Little Stoke. You will ensure communal areas are safe and welcoming and support customers through regular contact, reviews and social engagement.

You will coordinate customer escalations, manage communal repairs and contribute to a Placed-Based Project, working with teams to find practical solutions for residents.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of 8 Independent Living Schemes, managing your own workload.
• Working with other teams to ensure that communal areas and facilities are in good order.
• Welcoming new customers and conducting annual Independent Living Reviews.
• Having monthly contact with all customers.
• Facilitating quarterly customer meetings.
• Report and manage any Health and Safety issues on the schemes.
• Keep accurate records, using Housing Management systems and spreadsheets.
• Promote wellbeing and reduce social isolation through activities.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive team culture.

Location: Patchway, Filton, Little Stoke (BS34 6HL) - Occasionally wider South Gloucestershire area
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday
Additional information: An enhanced DBS and Adults Barred List is required for this role (provided by us). A full driving licence is essential

About the Role: As an Independent Living Scheme Officer, you'll take the lead in managing our independent living schemes in Patchway, Filton, and Little Stoke. From ensuring communal areas are safe and welcoming, to supporting customers through regular contact, reviews, and social engagement - you'll be at the heart of a thriving community. You'll also support the management of customer escalations, coordinate communal repairs, and play a role in our Placed-Based Project, working collaboratively with customers and members of other teams to find solutions that work for our customers.

A full, clean driving licence is essential. There will be occasional travel across South Gloucestershire to cover other schemes and to travel to our regional offices for training.
