Job summary

Rail Gourmet is seeking an On Board Host for TransPennine Express at York Station. This full-time role involves providing in-seat trolley service, assisting passengers, and driving sales while upholding service standards.

The position requires 18+ for certain tasks, offers a 39-hour week with rotating shifts from 6am to 8:30pm and some weekends. Full training is provided along with commission opportunities on nett sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-seat trolley service on TransPennine Express trains, delivering outstanding customer service and handling transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains to assist passengers and meet sales targets.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions, and maintain hygiene and safety standards.
• Support management initiatives and contribute to a positive onboard experience.

On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at York Station.

Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour plus commission

Hours: Full Time (39 hours).

Shifts: Rotational shifts between 6am and 8:30pm, including some weekends.

• Due to some responsibilities within the Onboard Host role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including long hours and varying shifts, no shift will exceed 12 hours.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years working experience gained in a Customer Facing role within the Retail Leisure & Hospitality Industry.

Full Training will be provided.

As An On Board Host You’ll

• Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring outstanding customer service, managing stock, and handling transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers, achieving sales targets independently, and meeting contractual goals.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions, adhere to hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
