Job summary

Rail Gourmet is seeking an On Board Host for TransPennine Express at Carlisle Station. This is a full-time role (40 hours) with shifts from 5:00am to 11:00pm. Pay is £13.65 per hour plus commission, with potential earnings through nett sales commissions.

You will provide at-seat trolley service, assist passengers, reach sales targets, manage stock and transactions, and maintain hygiene and safety standards. Training is provided and DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older for certain tasks.
• At least 2 years in a customer-facing role within retail/leisure/hospitality.
• Full training provided.
• Willing to work long hours and shifts including weekends and bank/public holidays.

Responsibilities

Job description

On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at Carlisle Station.

Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour plus commission
Hours: Full Time (40 hours).
Shifts: Rotational shifts between 5:00am and 11:00pm, working flexibly on weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays

• Due to some responsibilities within the Onboard Host role, applicants will need to be18 years of age or overto perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.
  
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including long hours and varying shifts.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years working experience gained in a Customer Facing role within the Retail Leisure & Hospitality Industry.

Full Training will be provided.

AS AN ON BOARD HOST YOU’LL:

• Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring outstanding customer service, managing stock, and handling transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers, achieving sales targets independently, and meeting contractual goals.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions, adhere to hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
