Birches Head Academy in Hanley is looking to appoint an Office Manager to lead the administration team and ensure efficient procedures across the Academy. This permanent role is 37 hours per week during term time, plus an additional 10 days, with a salary of £28,300–£30,742 per annum, subject to Pay Award.
The successful candidate will have strong ICT skills, be able to minute meetings and manage staff in a busy office environment.

Birches Head Academy is looking to appoint an Office Manager to join our dedicated staff, to manage the work of the Academy's administration support staff, in order to ensure efficient administrative procedures are in place to enable the effective operation of the Academy.
This post is demanding, requires a high degree of confidentiality and flexibility, and will prove both interesting and rewarding to the successful candidate.
The successful candidate should have experience of leading, supporting and motivating a team within a busy office environment, and be able to remain calm under pressure. You should have excellent ICT skills and be able to minute meetings.
Experience of working in a school environment with 11-16 aged pupils and knowledge of school-based systems (e.g. SIMS, ParentPay, School Synergy etc.) would be an advantage, but is not essential, as training will be provided.
You should possess the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers. You must be adaptable, organised and have at least five GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications).
