Job description

As an Occupational Health Physician, you will play a key role in supporting employers and employees by delivering high‑quality occupational health services. This is a flexible hybrid role, combining face‑to‑face site visits with home‑based case management to ensure a comprehensive and responsive service.

What you will be doing
  • Undertake case management for a range of health issues, including fitness for work, workplace adjustments, and return‑to‑work planning.
  • Deliver face‑to‑face consultations at client sites as required, ensuring a personalised and professional approach.
  • Conduct home‑based telephone/video‑based consultations, providing clarity and support to managers and patients.
  • Create clear, concise, professional reports for employers, outlining medical opinions and recommendations.
  • Liaise with employers, HR teams, and other healthcare professionals to support employee wellbeing and organisational health goals.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation, clinical guidelines, and best practices in occupational health.

Requirements
  • Fully GMC‑registered professional with licence to practice and qualification in Occupational Medicine (minimum DOccMed).
  • Proven case management experience in occupational health, including fitness‑for‑work assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, flexible approach with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant workplace health legislation and guidelines (e.g., Equality Act, Health & Safety at Work Act).
  • IT literacy and ability to prepare detailed, professional reports.
