We are specifically looking for an individual with passion and drive to deliver an effective service to children and young people with long term neurological and genetic conditions, with a particular interest in promoting occupational engagement for this client group and utilising compensatory/adaptive approaches.

We are investing in developing the clinical care pathway for this client group to ensure it achieves the best clinical outcomes for the population of children and young people in need of guidance, support and therapeutic intervention.

Role and Service

We are looking for suitably trained and motivated therapist who can deliver on the pathway and contribute to its ongoing development. We are keen to invest in development at all levels of service provision including: self-management/universal support; targeted advice and strategies; specialist assessment, advice and therapeutic intervention; and highly specialist assessment and support.

You will join our team of highly experienced and skilled therapists to offer a service, based in our Greater Preston team, working closely with Chorley South Ribble and West Lancashire teams. The clinical offer will be delivered by a combination of Telepractice and face to face appointments.

Development and Support

We are looking for an individual who is keen to invest in their own development and in return we will support you through professional and clinical supervision, shadowing and co-working opportunities, in-service training, professional forums, trust wide AHP research group, and funding opportunities for relevant external training courses.

Experience and Pathway Development

You will have experience in a range of assessment tools (both standardised and non-standardised) and treatment approaches. You will have a good understanding of child development and the challenges faced by this client group. You will support pathway development and support competency development for occupational therapists, support staff and students.
